The East Forsyth Women’s Basketball team is off to a great start for the season! With a record of 9-5, the team is standing out in the conference. With many more games to come, the team has many more opportunities to grab more wins.
Kelly Weidner (’18) said, “My goal for this year is to have a winning season. The girls get along great, and we all have great relationships on and off of the court. The great relationships that we have with each other help us to play better with each other in games and practices. I love being part of the team, and it feels like I have a whole team of sisters around me!”
When asked about past games, Abigail Williams (’17) said, “We have been doing pretty good so far, but we just need to play good throughout the whole game if we want to get more wins. I really hope to see us get better and I really hope that we work out our flaws so we can play better for the entire game, and get more wins for the season. Once we get everything together, I think that we will be unstoppable.”
With a tough conference, including Northwest and Glenn, the Lady Eagles are definitely making a statement with a winning record. Falling second in conference so far, with a few more wins they will be able to make it into the conference championship.
Payton Kerr (’17) said, “This season is going great so far! I think that if we keep it up, we will be able to be very successful in the conference and the season. I’m excited to see how the rest of the season plays out.”
With a great winning record so far, the rest of the season for the Lady Eagles will be an interesting one! Make sure to come out and support your Lady Eagle’s basketball team as they soar to victory to be in the running for the conference championship!
