The NBA’s official season started off with a bang on October 27. A new season with new players, and many different things to look forward to for fans! Who will come out on top this year? Who will fall to the bottom as the race to become The NBA Champions begins?

The season opened up with three games being played on October 27th. The Detroit Pistons and the Golden State Warriors both won their games with a bigger score difference, and the Chicago Bulls pulled out a nail biting win against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Golden State Warriors were the NBA Champions in 2015, but do they have the skills that it takes to win once again this year? This year, they have many great players who can all be a component to the win. One player who is very important to the roster, Stephen Curry, leads the team with 39.3 points per game, 7.3 assists, and 2.3 steals per game (nba.com). These numbers are essential and can help lead the Golden State Warriors to many victories in the upcoming season.

According to ibtimes.com, the Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, Oklahoma City Thunder, San Antonio Spurs, and the Golden State Warriors will be the winners of their divisions.

Logan Carter (’15) said, ‘I think the best team this year will be the Golden State Warriors. They will be the best because of their perimeter shooting, star offensive players like Stephen Curry, and their defensive stars such as Draymond Green and Harrison Barnes.”

Many different match-ups are going to be played and will set the stage to see who is the best this year in the National Basketball Association. Make sure to tune into ESPN, and root on your team to the championship!
